🌷Life and 🔮 Fortune

In Polaris Astrology, there is a distinction between a person's "Life" and "Fortune".
🌷Life: A person's Life is composed of 12 aspects, represented by the 12 Palaces on their Life Chart. The 12 Palaces describe who you are, what you do, and your relationships with others.
🔮Fortune: Fortune represents a person's past, present, and future events. It represents a person's life experiences. Each of the 12 boxes on the chart corresponds to specific periods in the person's life.
A Major Fortune refers to a person's fortune over a specific 10-year period, while an Annual Fortune refers to a person's fortune for one year. There are also Monthly, Daily, and Hourly Fortunes.

🌷 Life Chart

In Polaris Astrology, a person's birth chart is called a "Life Chart" (ming pan 命盤). The Life Chart describes a person's life and fortune. It consists of 12 small boxes connected in a circle to form a large box. Stars are placed in the boxes according to the time of birth. Each of the small boxes is named after one earth branch. ⏰ Longitude Adjusted Birth Time (LAB-T)

This site uses LAB-T (Longitude Adjusted Birth Time) to more accurately reflect a person's true time of birth. A time zone is an area, not a point; everyone within the same time zone uses the same time throughout the area. However, the position of the sun in the sky at any given time is not the same for everyone within that time zone.

For example, if a person's time of birth is 9:28 a.m. PST (Pacific Standard Time, UTC-8), and the longitude of their birthplace is 116.5° West, the longitude is 4 degrees West of 112.5°. Since PST (UTC-8) begins at 112.5° West, and one degree of longitude is four minutes, the adjustment is calculated as 4 degrees x 4 minutes = 16 minutes. Therefore, the person's longitude-adjusted birth time is 9:12 AM LAB-T (9:28 AM minus 16 minutes = 9:12 AM LAB-T).
