In Polaris Astrology, there is a clear distinction between a person's "Life" and "Fortune."

🌷Life: A person's Life is made up of 12 aspects, and the 12 aspects are represented by the 12 palaces of the Life Chart. The 12 palaces represent who you are, what you do, and your relationships with others. Click here to learn more about the 12 Palaces.

🔮Fortune: A person's fortune represents the past, present, and future events and happenings in that person's life. It represents a person's life experiences. A major fortune is a person's fortune for a specific 10-year period. An Annual Fortune is a person's fortune for one year. There are also monthly, daily, and hourly fortunes. 🍑 Major Fortune

The duration of one major fortune is ten years. It represents a person's fortune for a specific 10-year period. There are 12 palaces in a person's Life Chart. Each of the palaces is associated with one major fortune. Because of this, there are 12 major fortunes.

🍑 Major Fortunes on the Life Chart

The location of the first major fortune on the chart is the same for everyone. The first major fortune begins at a person's Life Palace. Subsequent major fortunes rotate either clockwise or counterclockwise after the first major fortune. A person's age increases by ten years after each successive palace.

🍑 Beginning Age and Ending Age of Each Major Fortune

The beginning and ending ages of each Major Fortune are shown at the top of each palace. Different people's Major Fortunes have different beginning and ending ages, depending on their Five Element Formation.

• 🌱Water 2 Formation: Beginning Age 1 - Ending Age 10
• 🌱Wood 3 Formation: Beginning Age 2 - Ending Age 11

• 🌱Earth 5 Formation: Beginning Age 4 - Ending Age 13
• 🌱Fire 6 Formation: Beginning Age 5 - Ending Age 14

🔟A person's Major Fortune is affected by the stars inside the Major Palace and the stars in its Major Quartet Palaces. At the end of every 10 years, a person's Major Fortune moves to the next palace, and the person's fortune is affected by the stars in the next place, and the next palace's Quartet Palaces for another 10 years, and then moves to the next palace, and so on.

🍑 Major Palaces

Each major fortune has its own 12 palaces, which are called the 12 Major Palaces. When reading a particular Major Fortune, the Major Palace of Interest becomes the Major Life Palace. Other Major Palaces are assigned according to the sequence of the 12 palaces.

🍑 Displaying the Major Palaces on the Chart

To view all the Major Palaces of a particular Major Fortune and the Four Major Converted Stars of the Major Fortune, click the down arrow at the upper left corner of a palace of interest.

🍑 Current Major Fortune

The Current Major Fortune refers to the 10-year period a person is currently in. Using the example above, if a person's current age is 38, then their Current Major Fortune is in the Pig Terra, which begins at age 31 and ends at age 40. The Pig Terra is the person's Current Major Life Palace.

🍑 The Four Major  Converted Stars

The Four Major Converted Stars are an additional set of Converted Stars derived from the Palace Stems. The Major Converted Stars are extremely important when reading the Major Fortunes. To view all the Major Converted Stars of a particular Major Fortune, click the down arrow at the upper left corner of the palace of interest.

• 🗡️ To Authority: Increase a person's authority.
• 🛡️ To Brightness: Increase a person's exposure.
• 🐌 To Darkness: Obstacles and delays.

🍑 Reading the Major Fortunes

• 🍓 Decide on the period of interest
  Locate the period of interest on the chart. This period becomes the Major Life Palace.
• 🍓 Show the 12 Major Palaces on the Life Chart
  At the Major Life Palace, click the down arrow to display all 12 Major Palaces. Observe the stars in these palaces.
• 🍓 Observe the stars in the Major Life Palace Quartet
  When reading a palace, all palaces of the Quartet Palaces must be considered together.
• 🍓 Notice the locations of the Four Major Converted Stars
  Within the Major Palaces, locate the four Major Converted Stars. Make a note of which stars are converted and in which Major Palace.
• 🍓 Observe all the Converted Stars
  Observe all Converted Stars, including Birth Converted Stars and Major Converted Stars. Check if any Converted Stars are in the same palace or in the Major Quartet Palaces.
