Its position is fixed on the northern celestial sphere. It is considered the king star. The Chinese character (斗 dòu) symbolizes the Big Dipper, and (數 shù) symbolizes mathematics or methodology. Thus, Polaris Astrology is a fortune prediction system derived from the Polaris Star (the king star), the stars of the Big Dipper, and other stars. According to legend, the system was first formulated during the Five Dynasties by the Taoist Chen Tuan (872-989). Books about Polaris Astrology are rare. The first book on Polaris Astrology is called "Polaris Astrology Complete" by (羅洪先 Luo Hong Xian, 1550 AD) in the Ming Dynasty.
