There are 12 palaces on the life chart. Each of the palaces represents certain aspects of a person's life.

The 12 Palaces follow a specific sequence and rotate counterclockwise on the Life Chart. The sequence of the 12 Palaces is the same for everyone. The Life Palace is the most important palace of the 12 palaces. It represents the "self" on the Life Chart. It represents a person's innate abilities, personality, and behavior.

The Sibling Palace represents the personality, behavior, and relationship between a person and their mother and/or the eldest brother.
